Rest in peace to the girl you used to see. Her days are over, baby I'm over.
Letter to My Younger Self

Dear Lucy,

It’s July 26th, 2011. You’re in your bathroom applying mascara to your blue eyes. You’re wearing your dark green sweatpants and a white tank top. You have on your sexiest black bra, and your prettiest flower undies. When you’re done with your makeup, you tip-toe down the hallway and peek into your parent’s room. They’re both sound asleep. It’s 2:30am and you’re ready to leave. You kiss Sally goodbye and slip out the front door. You take off dead sprint. No shoes, barefoot running through Country French’s streets. You run ten houses down and there’s his house. You send him a text that you’re here and he opens his front door. As soon as you step into his house, he pushes you against the wall of his home and kisses you. He had been on vacation for about two weeks and you hadn’t seen him for that time. You missed him. He peals you off the wall and kisses you all the way down the stairs to his basement. You kiss alittle more than you lay on the couch with each others’ arms wrapped around one another. He puts on the movie “127 Hours” and you’ll watch in silent. He’ll move his head closer to yours. You’ll pretend like you don’t notice. He will glide his fingertips all over your open skin. You’ll also pretend this doesn’t affect you at all. You’ll go crazy once he starts to kiss your ear. You’ll turn towards him and push him to the couch and kiss him with every once of energy you have. He’ll pick you up, and move your body to the mattress next to the T.V. He’s going to peel off your shirt and slip his hands down your sweats.

What I’m telling you right now is to stop. Stop what you’re doing. This night is the night you’re going to regret for the rest of your life. On July 26th, you’re going to lose your virginity to Aaron. I know what you’re thinking though. You think you love him. You think he’s the greatest thing that ever happened to you. I’m here to tell you, you don’t love him. You’re not in love with him, you’re in lust with him. He’s going to tell you that he has feelings for you before he pushes the condom on. He’s going to kiss you like you’ve never been kissed before. He’s going to use his charm to push you into letting him take something so important to you. Please, don’t let him do this.

He doesn’t love you. He’s going to leave you after this, and he’s never ever going to talk to you again. They call it, “a hit and quit.” and that’s what he’s about to do. He’s going to have sex with you, use you, then in the next week, he’s going to end whatever you had with him. After 7 months of hooking up, fooling around, playing catch, telling secrets, cuddling, and laughing on the phone late at night, he’s going to leave you. He’s going to use you.

Please, please don’t do this. Everytime you pass his house, you’re going to regret everything. I am begging you, you deserve better than this, better than some asshole who just wants to take your virginity then leave your crying self in your room, alone.

He’s going to be the reason you can’t trust anyone anymore. He’s going to be the reason for everything you do with boy’s in the future.

Don’t do it.

Please.

xoxo
